Net Connexions
Nature’s shapes and colors fuel my creative process; in an inventory of
private symbols, biomorphic and geometric shapes, in air and water
forms connected by the common thread of netting (no pun intended).
The paintings illustrate my exploration of shapes and symbols beginning
with the piece Untitled Bird Shape where net-like lines were first
explored in 2001. They later turned to fields from an aerial
perspective and Indra’s Net connecting all living things. Finally
culminating in River Dreams where I return to my native Columbia River.
